An extreme case of the ill effects of unregulated home education

I certainly do not suppose this to be typical of home education, either here or in the USA. I still found this case quite alarming, as an example of what can happen if society loses track of children.

  1. Because sexual assault and rape doesn't happen in school?

  2. One seldom hears of rape in schools. When it does happen, it is a one-off event. I can't imagine rape and sexual assualt happening to the same child in a school day after day, for years on end.

  3. Ahh but it does happen in the homes of children wherever they get their education.

Actually a friend of mine has a daughter who has been assaulted on numerous occasions by another child in the playground at school. Apparently it's not uncommon. But rape certainly would be unusual.

  4. it does happen in school and they was a case in a London school and it was unclear how long it had been going on i dont think in court they could prove how long it had been going on so just convited on the one rape and you also get a lot of sexual assualts which can go on for some time in a school before it is reported or seen by a teacher!

  6. Maybe you never heard of it because youre a man and therefore less likely to have been victimised in such a way. Maybe it's your age.

Sexual assault is so commonplace in schools that mostly it isnt even identified that way, but as games, even if the games are said to have 'gone wrong'.

I can think of several games that were played in my school (all with their own names and rules, and even sometimes their own theme tune) that were all essentially about coercing girls to strip or 'allow' sexual touching, on pain of shaming them and other types of bullying if they say no.

And the rapes do happen, they really are not rare. Sometimes outside of school hours, in parks and at parties, but its the culture inside the school that feeds it.

I agree with you it often put down as a game that went wrong by the school when some one is finally caught! these games can go on for years with girls being forced to allow sexual touching or much worse many girls are just to scared to report it! your far more likly to suffer sexual abuse in a school than at home as in most schools you have many boys of different ages!
